Video Transcript for The Low-Down on the Durabilt D-Ring Tie-Down for E Track

Hi everyone. Aiden here at Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at these D-ring tie-down points for your E track or X track from Durabilt. It's gonna be a great way in your trailers with E track or X track to get a quick tie-down point so you can just snap it into place on the track, move it around as needed so you're not fixed to permanently mounted tie down points. It can go anywhere where you need it, and you've got a great place to hook a rope or a strap to. Let's check it out.

So obviously the maneuverability of this is huge. It's really easy to get in and out of the track. We've got a trigger on one side here that we can just pull that will let us feed that end into the track and snap it into place just like this. And then to remove it, it's the same process but in reverse. So that trigger will latch it in and keep it secure.

This type of tie-down point is really common for your E tracks. It's just a simple accessory to add on. It's really great for something like this generator where it maybe doesn't have a fixed point in the trailer. It can kind of move around wherever we need it to. For the most part, it's heavy enough to hold itself down, but having some extra straps to make sure it doesn't roll around is really helpful, and these are gonna be great for that.

They can get up to six inches long if they're fully extended like that, and they're gonna be two inches wide. The strap itself and the rings can support a thousand pounds. So they're more than strong enough to handle something like this generator. Let's see how it hooks up. Getting it set up is really simple.

Our S-hook loops in perfectly fine. That D-ring on the very end isn't super large so I wouldn't be worried about straps or hooks not being able to fit onto it very easily. You can hook it onto both sides. We're gonna feed the free end of our strap through a solid point on our generator and over to the ratcheting mechanism. We've already got the one on the back installed using these in a set of four. They do come in a kit of one though, so if you need more than one be sure to pick up the appropriate amount. Like I said, today we're using four just so we've got one on each corner, and for this generator that is more than enough. And with everything hooked up, everything is nice and solid for our generator. Like I said, it doesn't take much. These can be moved around wherever we really need them to be and it's gonna help keep our stuff secure. For the enclosed trailers, I'm not worried about any sort of rust and corrosion on here because it's enclosed, but if you've got it on a utility trailer, it's going to be a coated steel. That coating will help with rust and corrosion resistance. Maybe not make it immune, but it certainly does help. So if it's out in the elements, it should hold up just fine. There's tons of options when it comes to E track accessories. You've got some straps that will even hook directly into the E track, but sometimes those are a little bit limiting and if we already have these ratchet straps that we want to use, it's sometimes nice just to have a tie-down point. So for me, this is a really solid option. You can move it around wherever it's needed on your trailer and give you a solid anchor point for your stuff. Thanks for watching.
