  Sometimes it's hard to find the wiring as they are sometimes taped up and out of the way. I've included a picture of the instructions to help you find the right spot. The connector should be on the back side of the vehicle harness. That's probably why you aren't seeing it. The issue was the integrated diode Redarc uses on the plug-in-play harness not allowing for 12 volts to be sent to the stop light switch circuit.
