Question:

I recently purchased a 2019 Toyota Tacoma, I removed from a 2013 Honda Pilot. Since I have never installed a unit of this kind any assistance would be great. The Tacoma is fully fitted with a tow package. I could use help in locating the connector on the Tacoma and if I need a special harness that is required. Thank you for your assistance.

Your 2019 Toyota Tacoma has a plug and play style of brake controller install port under the dash which will easily allow you to install the Curt Spectrum part # C51170. All you need is the adapter part # C51455.

To reach the connector, first locate the notch in the access panel in the center of the dash, near the driver's side. Using a trim panel puller, carefully pry the panel out and undo the locking tabs to remove the panel. You will find the mating connector behind this portion of your dashboard.
