Today we're going to take a look at the Chrome Plastic EZ Lube Center Cap Plug for Americana wheels. Now this part is constructed of a chrome ABS plastic, and this cap is installed on wheel center caps that have a 1-7/8" diameter hole in the center of the cap. And it is used on trailers that have EZ Lube axles, and an EZ Lube axle has a grease Zerk fitting on the end of the spindle. That allows you to pump grease into the bearings without having to remove the wheels. And this plug is what'll pop out of that center cap and allow you to access the grease Zerk fitting. Outer diameter on this plug is 2-3/16".
We mentioned it is designed to fit a 1-7/8" diameter hole in the center cap. This is designed to fit Americana center caps with an outer diameter of 3.19" up to 5.15", and it is for quantity of one chrome plug. But that should do it for the review on the Chrome Plastic EZ Lube Center Cap Plug for Americana wheels.

Plastic trailer wheel center cap plug adds style to your trailer wheels.I looked all over the place for this thing, then remembered etrailer! Bingo!! The tabs are a bit wide for my hubs, so I just shaved a bit off and they work like new. These plugs are more stout than the factory version for my axles, so I expect they will last a long time.
I damaged one of my bearing dust caps/wheel cap plugs on the first day I got my new travel trailer after making a turn with my torque wrench, ordered this one to replace it. Shipped quickly, fits perfectly. Appears to be an identical replacement.
We were extremely happy to find this part as it matches our other 3 perfectly and shipping was fast. We have purchased from etrailer in the past and have been very satisfied. They are always there to answer questions. A great place to do business.
The Parts are great, My review would be more on etrailer I ordered the parts on a Monday they did not package them till Thursday and did not ship till the following Monday. My Comment, it took a Week to put a small box in the mail.
The parts were a good fit. I thought they took a bit long to get and the shipping costs were as much as the part. I have bought parts from etrailer in the past and find them consistent and a bit less expensive than most. I guess the gouge on shipping is just something we have to tolerate these days.

Honestly I put them on and haven’t thought about them since. So I guess that’s a good thing. Still there doing their job.

Arrived sooner than expected. Was missing one of these from my trailer and bought 3 just to have extras. The piece is plastic, which I knew, but one of the 3 was just a little too far out of spec to fit in the hole without breaking one of the plastic prongs. Glad I ordered extras and we're all good. I really appreciated the thorough, accurate item description--it helped to get the right part and not have to go through trial and error.

An economic solution for the replacement of damaged or missing caps. Only comment for
Improvement I have is, don’t use USPS for shipping. This is the second package that has been delivered to the wrong address or lost in transit. Only reason I looked for the package is the great tracking system of etrailer.
This was a small order. The sales rep was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The caps arrived on time and the rep followed up to make sure everything was okay.
Product is plastic though not metal. But met my needs.
My fault not yours I guess. But part was way too small. The hole the cover needed to fit is 2.5". This plug is 2".
The cap was slightly too large. I had to file the edges a little to make it fit.

It took a while to get these since they were on back order, but it was worth the wait. The diameters are the same as the old ones, but the depth of the ID on my metal wheel caps is slightly deeper than these plastic plugs are made for. No problem though. Just a quick deburr of the metal, and a little file touch up on the plastic plugs, and they fit well.
