Ellen: Hey, everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. We're taking a quick look at the Replacement Gear Pack for your Solera Awning. If you've had any issues with your Solera awning and you're replacing those parts, this is going to be a piece that you're going to need. This goes into the motor for that awning arm. The gear of that comes in here and sits in there and turns your awning.
SO, if you want to get a closer look to make sure that this works with yours, you can see that here. It's going to have our four small gears inside a larger gear wheel. So as that motor is turning, I'll just use my finger here to demonstrate, it's going to, oops, turn the whole thing, which is kind of hard to do without actually having a tool to do that. But all those little guys move inside, and as you can see, they are just resting inside here. So you want to be careful not to flip it over or else it will all pop out.It has a new rubber O-ring to keep that sealed up.
It's probably not a bad idea to put a little bit of grease in here just to make sure that things are going to move really nice and evenly. And then it does also have a trim ring to go with this. The part number that this works with is listed on the product page here at etrailer.com. That is LC266149. That's the part number for your awning motor.
This is going to be compatible with that motor. The other side, holding it all together, looks like that. Replaces the gear pack in the drive head motor of your Solera 12V, 18V, or Smart Arm electric RV awning."Old" awning gear drive broke while camping a few days ago in my 2020 Cougar RESWE trailer, which seemed weird because I only camp maybe 2-3 times a year. Managed to roll up the awning and strap it down to get home, and received the replacement gear drive three days later. Took 15 minutes to replace it and it works as advertised. Pictures are the old assembly.
This is the 2nd Replacement gear drive. The part comes complete, but for some reason it breaks where it meets the shaft. Have not resolved that problem yet. Hopefully warranty work will fix it.
This did what it needed to do. My RV repair people pulled a number on me and left me hanging, but with the information available on etrailer I was able to identify which parts I needed. Once I had them it was an easy enough installation. etrailer is now my first stop for all my RV accessory parts.
My first time out on my new 5 th wheel and the awning broke. I ordered this replacement after reading other positive reviews and it fit perfectly and have not had an issue with the awning since.

Direct replacement works as it should.
Bought 3 in the last year, on the last one. They break instantly, extremely soft metal. Glad we are living in our RV and can leave the awning out, because the gear pack breaks on the 1st or 2nd use. I've owned my RV going on 3 years and have ordered 5 of these in that time.
Stripped out the metal plate AGAIN! Tolerances between the plate and pin are not tight enough, too much play. Way over priced for what it is, along with the pin, 3 bills down the drain. And I need to pay return shipping if I want some money back. This is why I buy almost nothing from this store. The only thing good from this purchase was that I received it quickly.

etrailer was excellent in getting parts out and fast. The parts I received are Solera parts but are a cheap design. The shaft I had to order that was bad, only goes into flats on gear pack part ways and strips out on the end, and also cracks gear housing. The shaft seems to be made about 3/16" too short and is only driving the gear pack with just the tip of the shaft, instead of the whole flat section. Again etrailer was great in getting me the parts although this is doomed to fail again, and cost me again.
This customer service department is exc ellent.
I was so pleased with this purchase. etrailer was the only place I could find this part. It arrived before the estimated delivery and I installed it without an issue. My awning is now working as it should.

Exact match for what I needed
The repair shops all quoted $600 (parts) to $2500 (new awning).
They gave me no hope for a sensible repair. This part was easy to find on the website. I could match the parts because of good images. I was 90% certain we had the right part before it shipped.
This is the best-when the part arrived it was a perfect fit and I was done with the project in 30 minutes.
All for less than $100. I will always shop here. I know parts will wear out and break. Knowing E Trailer has the support I need means my weekend will not be ruined by a problem or breakage.
DOES NOT FIT. IT IS TOO LOOSE. I NEED TO RETURN. MY MOTOR SHOWS AGCOSON 12VDCL 30W. THE SPINDLES DO NOT EVEN TOUCH THE GEARS.

F’g junk! I spent several hundreds having a welder repair ir twice. Replaced it once from you, left NC 1 yr ago
o & am ready to move again. But the damn thing won’t work- feel like cutting it off to replace with manual. Yours has never worked but one time a year ago. I even Gorrila taped it up for transport. Never again!! Also as a 83 yr old widow I have each time had to hire a repair man to do the work.

Just over a year after installing this part it has broken for a second time. Design is definitely flawed for large awnings.
