Is There an Updated/Stronger Drive Head Gear Pack For a Lippert Solera Awning?

Question:
Is there an updated part for LC78VR? I have a 20 ft awning on my 5th wheel that I have owned for less than 2 years and this is the second time this has broken and also caused damage to the pin.

The Replacement Drive Head Motor Gear Pack # LC78VR does not have another option. Lippert only makes the one gear pack. With you going through 2 of these in 2 years it makes me think there is something wrong with your awning installation. If there is added resistance due to the awning not sitting perpendicular to the arms or any components not aligned properly this could cause the issues you are having. You can have this checked by a local RV service center to determine if the factory who installed your awning did it properly.
