when i got the lc78vr it came in pieces. The old one fell apart when i took it off. there fore i have no idea how to put this together. the Oring and snap ring just lay there and fall out when i pick it up.

Yes, the Replacement Drive Head Motor Gear Pack for Solera Power RV Awnings # LC78VR does very easily come apart. I attached a video where you will see Kathleen show you exactly how it goes together.

I spoke with Lippert, and they informed me that for your Lippert awning you are going to need the: -Replacement Gear Pack for Lippert Solera Awning Motor #LC78VR, with the Replacement Head Pin for Solera Power Awning Gear Drive Head #LC93FR.

To remove the old pin you'll need to remove the cover, remove the two retaining pins, and then slide the old pin out. To install the #LC93FR you'd just reverse the process.

Based on the pictures you definitely need the awning support arm #LC281154. I can't tell in that other photo if the pin is bent or damaged, or just barely hanging in there. I'm also not sure if your idler head and roller endcap are ok or not…
