Today we're going to take a look at the replacement drive head rear cover for Solera Awnings. Now this part will replace the black Regal style back cover for your Solera Awning drive head. The cover protects the drive head on the awnings from the weather. It is made of a black ABS plastic construction and it does install using your existing hardware that you have on there now, but that should do it for the review on the replacement drive head rear cover for Solera Awnings.

Would have given a 5 if you sold the screws that holds the unit together. Bought them at a local hardware store they are a number 6 self tapping 1 1/2 screw.
Parts arrived a lot sooner than expected. Customer service was awesome. Will for sure deal with e trailer for future purchases.

OEM replacement. I personally like to think William be with a trailer for helping me sort of the correct parts to get my awning fixed. His customer service of knowledge was above par and I’ll order for me trailer again because of him.
While the front and back cover were exactly what I needed, they do not come with the mounting screws. In addition, there is a hole in the front of the cover (I have no idea why) and a rubber grommet must be purchased as well. I called etrailer to find out about these items. They insisted the cover needed six screws when I said I had the two to mount to the arm and i needed only 2 more and the rubber grommet. They quoted $35. A piece of Gorilla black tape to cover the hole and #6x1/2" stainless screws from a big box store cost me less than $2.00. I am beginning to wonder if etrailer is the place for me to look for materials.

We didn't realize we needed the back piece until etrailer suggested it with the front idler cover - so glad they did! I would have been frustrated if I had bought the front piece only to discover I didn't have all the parts necessary. It installed easily and matched perfectly.
What I think is this: this product is sold without fasteners (mounting screws) required to attached the idler head cover to the bracket. How rediculous is that? The part fit just fine but I had an adventure completing the mounting effort because I had to figure out the screw thread count and length, then find it! Why are mounting fasteners such a thing when replacing RV components?

While the cover does not come with mounting screws I did reach out to Lippert and the fasteners are on the site separately. They are part # LC266156 which is screw size #6 x 0.5 inches.
Just needed a cover for our awning--received it quickly. Looks fine. Only issue I have is the simple little grommet for the manual crank hole should never cost $12.

Good product and works as advertised. Need better and stronger packaging. Arrived with plastic covers broken. Very happy all in all.
I was sent the wrong parts. I immediately called and spoke to a staff member who recommended sending the wrong parts back with a free provided return label downloaded and printed. The correct parts are being sent and expected to arrive this week. This is excellent customer service. etrailer is the place to go for replacement parts for the accessories and equipment on your RV.

Seems to work fine. It was the front cover that was less than acceptable. Manual access hole did not line up and Grommet did not fit properly

I discovered I had torn off one of the awning arm covers when I arrived home. A tree branch must have reached out and swiped it! LOL... I was happy to see ETrailer had the exact one in stock.
