What Causes Lippert Solera Smart Arm Awning Slippage

My awning will retract then slip open erratically. What is slipping? Gear pack seems intact, motor is quiet and gear spins.

In order to find the cause of the slippage issue you will need to disassemble and inspect the different components. The two most likely culprits are the motor and gear pack. If these are damaged we do offer replacements for them, the Replacement Gear Pack for Lippert Solera Awning Motor part # LC78VR and Replacement Motor for Lippert Solera Power Awnings part # LC373566.
It's hard to say unfortunately what the issue could be without seeing the different parts disassembled.

I'm having a similar problem. I already replaced the drive head motor for Solera Power RV Awnings and now I'm going to replace the motor. The motor is working fine but I think the problem might be the motor gear.
