This is going to replace the head pin needed for your Solera Power Awning Gear Drive Head. This is an exact replacement from Lippert, which is the same company that produces the Solera awning, so you can trust it is gonna fit right in place of that original, you're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that. After hitting a tree getting into a tight spot.etrailer had plenty of parts with videos to give me the confidence to take the drive head apart, saving me hundreds of dollars in the project. Attached is a picture of the drive head before replacement.
this was a perfect fit for our broken drive pin. for our application i should've ordered one of the E clips as well. the factory doesn't have one next to the gear drive. no problem ran to hardware store and on our way! easy installation. dont be afraid of replacing this part on your own.
The only part I needed to fix my awning and etrailer was the only place I could find it on line. The customer service has been very good about checking in an d keeping me apprised as to how my order progressed, prefer they used UPS or FedEx but am happy with the result.
etrailer sucks and sent the wrong part. I triple checked I ordered the correct piece but they sent the wrong one. Even more aggravating was there was zero accountability. I didn’t get around to fixing it right away and as a result they told me I was outside the return window and I could get bent. A total waste of my time and money.
etrailer was excellent getting me this factory part. The reason for the review is the factory part is a bad design and seems to be too short by about 3/16". It does not go into gear set all the way and strips out end of shaft and strips out and cracks gear set housing. Very bad design and doomed to fail again. Hope Lippert gets this fixed soon, this was 1 year and a month old, so out of warranty. Lippert should go back and recall this flaw and reimburse customers for lost camping time and parts.
Outstanding! Ran into an issue where I needed this part quickly and it was overnighted with zero issues. Martha was very helpful and pleasant to talk with. She wanted to make sure the part got here an time and followed up. Other businesses could learn a few things from this experience. I will be ordering again and it will be with eTrailer. Perfect fit. This was the only place we could find this part! Ordering was easy, follow up and communication was constant, shipping was fast. It came down to finding this part or replacing the awning motor for 8 times as much money. This was a no brainer. Hubby replaced it himself in under an hour.
Exactly what I needed. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is grossly over-priced. But I’m sure Lippert is over charging you as well.

This shaft aka Drive Head Pin failed on my awing which was less than a year old. I was told my the rv manufacturer that it would be several weeks to get me one due to supply chain issues. etrailer not only had what I needed but it was a decent price and I received it within a couple of days, not weeks. I highly recommend them

I keep a spare drive head pin handy just in case I have any further issues with my Lippert awning and so far over a year after having to replace it there have been no issues

This fixed my Grand Design awning. Great quality!
Replacement Drive Headpin arrived within 3 days. Package arrived in good shape and merchandise was just what I needed.
All the parts look perfect and the drive head pin fits perfectly into the drive head motor gear pack that was ordered at the same time. we haven't gotten to actually doing the repair yet - big snow fall here the other day, but have high hopes that it will all work out.

Hole for screw is not tapped or threaded, buyer beware! Use a self tapping screw or your original will break off.
This did what it needed to do. My RV repair people pulled a number on me and left me hanging, but with the information available on etrailer I was able to identify which parts I needed. Once I had them it was an easy enough installation. etrailer is now my first stop for all my RV accessory parts.

Excellent fit, works like it should. I used a cotter pin in place of the screw cause the screw was stuck and broke while removing it. I Had to replace it cause the old one bent from high winds while we were away. I would have gave it 5 stars but I thought is was a bit pricey.
Drive pin for 2021 or newer. Perfect match. Etrailer was great to buy from! Great customer support through email, good Q&A section that helped me track down the very specific piece.
Right part and correct fit to fix my awning that was damaged in a wind gust.
It arrived a day early and was just what I needed. It was packaged well.
This is FYI and for you to do something about as appropriate. I suppose I must have ordered the wrong part although it seemed like the right part on your website and was the only Solera drive head pin that I saw there. So I ordered it. When it arrived it did not match the old drive pin exactly. To accept a gear with a flat section in the mounting hole I had to file a flat into the section between the recesses for the circlips. And the recesses for the circlips were just a few thou closer than they needed to be to suit the reused gear and circlips that fitted there. So, I also had to file out the recesses to make them wider so the circlips would fit and hold the gear in place. So I made it work. But it was a pain to get the wrong part and then have to work on it. What needed to be done for me to make it work was not beyond my capabilities, and the result is not perfect, but otherwise I would have had to return it.
The factory pin was pressed into the gear drive whereas this on just slid in so I was concerned, but it ended up working perfectly and got me back up and running without any problems. This save me from have to buy the whole assembly which is over $400.00. I definitely would recommend this part.
This was the exact item I needed! Couldn’t figure out why awning wasn’t closing. It was stuck open but I could still hear the motor running. After futher inspection and tons of YouTube it looked like this pin had a little bent and chip at the end where it goes into the gear pack. So I replaced both parts and now working better than ever! It was for my 14’ solera awning. Saved me some $$$ because I didn’t have to replace the motor amd extra $$$ because I didn’t have to have someone come out to look at it which btw quoted me about $400. Thanks etrailer! Always coming through!

A year later product still working as designed! Can’t thank and refer etrailer enough! Will give update in another year!
The part was exact fit AAA+++ on the part, now the only frustration that I had was when I ordered the $32.50 part I paid $22.00 for fast shipping which was my option because I needed the part, etrailer.com site told me on the 12th when I ordered it that it was in stock and I should receive it approximately on the 16th which was fine, but the day after I ordered it the site showed it was not going to ship till the 18th and I would have it approximately on the 24th, so I contacted via chat and got nowhere with her, excuses (short handed, thousands of orders etc...) so I contacted via phone to live person and got the same excuses, the only solution they offered was to cancel the order if I wanted. Why does it take 6 days to pick and ship a in stock item? Surprisingly it got picked the same day after I called, go figure.. here's an idea, if your short handed hire more and if you need to work Saturday to fill orders than that should be an option. The trucking company (ups) did a great job getting it from Utah to Michigan in a very fast pace.

Still aggravated by e-trailer sending me the wrong part… I had to modify it to make it work as I already had my awning torn apart. So far my modifications have been holding up and survived a camping season.
