Replacement of Lippert 5200lb Axle, Electric Drum Brakes, and Hub and Drum Assembly
Question:
I have a Lippert 5200lb LCI52-SB-86.5-68.5-NOSP-OS-L-65516-7225-30PT axel. The drivers side hub came off the axle damaging the spindle, hub, and brakes. I know I will need to weld Item # TRSS300 spring seat for the 68.5inch spring spacing. Can I replace with this axle 8327826 or 8327816 and the good hub and brake assembly off the passenger side fit this axle ? Also what hub and brake assembly with all the bearings , seals, etc. will I need for the drivers side. I need everything in stock so there is no delay with backordered items. Items 8327816-EB or 8327826-EB with complete setup would be ideal but they show to be on backorder also. Thanks

Since time is a factor and we do not have the complete axle brake and hub set up, Item # 8327816-EB, in stock (August 2021). I recommend the Dexter Trailer Axle with E-Z Lube Spindles item # 8327816. This axle is 86-1/2" Long with a 5,200 lbs capacity that will replace your Lippert axle. The TruRyde spring seats item # TRSS300 will work well with these axles.
Unless your trailer hubs are brand new you should replace both of them and keep the passenger side one around as a spare. I recommend the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly item # K08-201-98. It is rated up to 5,200-lbs and works with the E-Z Lube Axles. This hub has a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern and comes with all of the bearings and seals you will need for your installation. Each kit comes with one drum and hub assembly.
The axle set up you referenced earlier had electric brakes so we're going to set you up with a left and right hand assemblies for electric trailer brakes. I recommend item # AKEBRK-6 these are 12" x 2" brake pads that are made of durable friction material for improved braking and longevity. E-coated backing plates resist rust and will fit 14-1/2" to 16-1/2" wheel.
