UWS Low Profile Crossover Toolbox Review - 1999 Ford Ranger

Today, on our 1999 Ford Ranger, well be test fitting the UWS Truck Bed Tool Box, cross-over style, low-profile series, at five point six cubic feet, in black, part number UWS00379. This box is also available in silver aluminum, part number UWS00369. This box measure sixty inches long by nineteen and a quarter inches wide, by thirteen and a half inches deep. The low profile design makes it easy to see out the back window. It sits two inches above the bed rail. The cross-over, saddle style tool box, hangs from the truck bed rails behind the cab.

This box is also available in black, part number UWS00331. This tool box measures sixty inches long by twelve inches wide, and nine and a quarter inches deep. It sits four inches above the bed rails, and has a foam filled lid, and paddle lift handles. The aluminum construction guarantees not to rust.



UWS Gull Wing Crossover Toolbox Review - 1999 Ford Ranger

Today, on our 1999 Ford Ranger well be test fitting the UWS Truck Bed Tool Box, cross over style, gold wing series, at seven and a half cubic feet. This is part number UWS00010, in silver aluminum. This box measure sixty inches long, by nineteen and a quarter inches wide, by thirteen and a half inches deep. It sits four inches above the bed rails. It has two foam filled lids, and paddle lift handles. The dual beveled gold wing style lids, feature outside opening, a heavy duty gas cylinder in each lid to hold them open at ninety degrees, and stainless steel latches with locks, one on each lid.

  • According to my contact at UWS, the box will not interfere with the rear doors opening. The lid is 60 inches wide, you can confirm that the doors will clear by opening both rear doors, and measuring their distance apart right at the top of the bed.
