Roadmaster Universal Diode Wiring Kit Installation - 2016 Lincoln MKX

Today, on our 2016 Lincoln MKX, we'll be installing the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, Part #RM-152. The Roadmaster Hy-Power Diode Kit is a cost-effective and easy solution for when you're flat-towing your vehicle behind your RV. It'll allow you to have the required lights as necessary by law in order to safely tow behind it without having to worry about using magnetic tow lights or using mold-and-socket style lights where you've got to drill holes into your expensive tail light housings. This kit will work with both incandescent and LED style tail lights. Works without a problem there. It uses your factory lights, so it's a nice, clean look and your car functions just like it would normally. We already have our wires routed to the front of our fascia from when we did our base plate installation.

Roadmaster Diode 7 to 6 Wire Coil Kit Installation - 2016 Jeep Cherokee

Today on our 2016 Jeep Cherokee we're going to show you how to install the Roadmaster Flexo Coil Diode Wiring Kit for a seven pole to six pole connection. Part number is RM15267. The first thing I'm going to do is take my six pole plug, I'm going to take the provided screws here. I'm going to attach that plug right to the bracket. Once that's attached we'll pull the boot off the back, and we want to slide our wiring through the boot. Now, in typical applications here you're just going to have the four wires.

Hopkins Tow Bar Wiring HM56114 Review

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Hopkins custom taillight wiring kit. This product fits certain years of the GMC Yukon. To ensure that this is a fit for your vehicle you can use the vehicle fit guide located at etrailer.com. This system lets you wire your vehicle to accept your RV's tail, brake, and turn signal lights for flat towing applications. It simply wires the towed car as a combined system so that the brake and turn signals travel along the same wire. It's going to provide a four way flat plug at the front of the towed vehicle to connect to the motor home.

TrailerMate Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2013 Chevrolet Sonic

Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Sonic, we'll be having a look at and installing the Trailer Mate Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for towed vehicles. Part number TM780098S. So here's what our wiring looks like installed. This is a nice plug-and-play installation. There's no cutting of any of the factory wiring involved. You don't have to drill any holes in your tail light assemblies to add a second bulb kit to it.

Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Installation - 2013 Chevrolet Sonic

Today in our 2013 Chevrolet Sonic we'll be having a look at and installing the Roadmaster Fusemaster Fuse Bypass, part number RN76511. Here's what it looks like installed. This switch will allow us to bypass a fuse so whenever we're ready to flat tow our vehicle we don't have to remove the fuse box door, get down on our knees and pull a fuse out every time. It also saves us from having to reinstall a fuse when we want to drive our car when we arrive at our destination. It's very simple to use, all you have to do is whenever you're ready to tow, pull it down to top position, whenever you're ready to drive your car normally, flip the switch up in the drive position. It's that simple. As you can see with our key in the drive position now our radio is on and our dash cluster is on but when we flip the switch down to tow position without touching the key, see how it all powers off.

Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring Kit Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Captiva Sport

Today we're going to be showing you how to install the Roadmaster Universal High Powered Diode Kit for Towed Vehicles. Part number on it is RM-154. Now for the front we're going to use the plug and bracket that come with the Roadmaster Seven to Four Wire Flexo Wire Kit. That part number is RM-164-7. The short bracket we have here is part number 18140. Now this is what our kit's going to look like.

Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2015 Ford Fiesta

Male: Today our 2015 Ford Fiesta ST hatchback. We'll be installing the Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles. It's an LED bulb and socket, part number RM-152-LED. This is completely independent from your vehicle wiring, so you don't have to tap into your factory wiring. It's an auxiliary bulb that goes into the tail light housing. This provides proper lighting functions to your vehicle while flat-towing a car without putting any tress on your factory wiring. Okay, here's what our kit consists of. We have our two LED bulbs, here, which will go into our tail light assemblies.

Roadmaster Diode 7 to 6 Wire Coil Kit Installation - 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we'll be installing the Roadmaster Diode seven-wire to six-wire Flexo-coil wiring kit, part number RM-15267. All right, here's what the wiring looks like installed. As you can see it doesn't take up very much space on the front of the vehicle at all, tucks up nicely out of the way. This will allow us to safely flat-tow our vehicle behind our RV and have all of our factory lighting functions still work. We don't have to worry about using magnetic tow lights or having an extra set of lights added to the vehicle to tow it. This utilizes the factory light bulbs already in the vehicle utilizing diodes.

Custer Tow Bar Wiring LIWSR1-7B Review

It is a magnetic installation. There are no straps to fumble with. You just grab it, set it, and go. It uses these low profile magnets down here that have 90 lbs of pull.

  • Are Additional Lights Needed when Towing a Car on a Tow Dolly that Has Lights
  • Additional lights are not typically required when using a tow dolly but you would want to check the laws in the states you will be traveling in to be sure. A lot of people want to use them any way for more visibility of the vehicle, which isn't a bad idea. Since your trailer connector is already in use with the tow dolly lights, you would have to splice into the tow dolly wiring to power the additional lights. Consult the owners manual to confirm this and for other specific information on flat towing your Jeep. There are other items needed to flat tow your Jeep: base plates, tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking. For base plates I recommend the Roadmaster XL base plates # 1439-1.
