AFE Air Filter Installation - 2008 Mercury Mariner
Today on our 2008 Mercury Mariner we'll be installing the AFE Air Filter, part number AFE31-10065. After opening up the package and confirming everything is correct in there we're ready to go ahead and install it into our vehicle. After the hood is open on this Mariner we'll go ahead and undo the two clasps that hold the air filter lid in place. We can then simply peel it off and bring the air filter out the top. With the old air filter removed, we'll simply take the new AFE air filter and slide it back into position in the box and bring it back down into place. You'll notice that the AFE air filter does come with a "do not discard" sticker.
AFE Air Filter Installation - 2007 Toyota 4Runner
Today on our 2007 Toyota 4 Runner we will be installing the AFE Power air filter AFE31-10027.The AFE POWER air filter uses a new pro-dry S oil free dryer filter. It has a revolutionary 2 layers synthetic that requires no oil to filter out dirt. Now, this air filter is very simple to install. We'll simply undo the 4 tension clips; 2 on the front and 2 on the back. Then simply lift the top part of the box up and slide the filter out. Then take the new air filter while lifting the front top of the box up then slide the new filter in to place making sure that it is sided in the box then put the lid back on then restore the 4 tension clips.

AFE Pro Dry S Performance Air Filter Installation
Today we are going to review and install part number AFE31-10016 from AFE. What this is, is their Pro Dry performance air filter. What this filter is designed to do is replace your existing factory style filter and this one actually will stay in your vehicle and can last as long as the life of the vehicle too. This air filter provides a little bit of everything with it. It provides better protection than a standard air filter, a little more performance than a regular air filter, and as convenience you do not have to go out and buy a new one. You can easily clean this and put it back in. This air filter will provide a 99.2 percent filtration efficiency rate made possible with two oil free synthetic layers and two oil free cotton layers. The outside frame of your filter is constructed of polyurethane composition. This also is made in the United States which is always good. This does come with two years limited warranty. 00:49

How to choose an air filter from AFE. We have three different types of filter medias that we offer. We offer the Pro Dry S which is a dry media. We offer the AFE Pro 5R which is a five layered oil filter, and we also offer the Pro Guard 7 which is a seven layer filter and it is also oil. Choosing what is right for you. If you are looking for the ultimate in convenience, we call our convenience filter our Pro Dry S. The convenience filter from AFE, as I am going to demonstrate for you is the fact that it is a very easy maintenance filter. For cleaning on the Pro Dry filter it is easy. If I want to tap it clean, I am going to take a filter that is already dirty. And for cleaning, as you can see here as I am tapping out particles of the filter. If I tap out this filter, I can get back to an 86 percent restoration of the filter. You can kind of see where we tapped it how it is lighting up again. If I want to get back to a 92 percent restoration, what I am going to do is I can take a vacuum cleaner. I can vacuum this filter out as well. If I want to get back to 100 percent restoration I can use soap and water to clean the filter. And it will go back to 100 percent restoration. It is a convenience filter. 1:21
