The rack's going to use, in this case since this is a skewer style for an axle, we've got the adapter in there that allows the two, this silver clamp and this silver clamp, to clamp around that adapter and allows us to fit our skewer right on there. You can also use this with through axle bikes, never having to actually take that through axle out. It will come right down there and then those two clamps will come in and pinch on it. Really nice setup.

We'll loosen up the black wing nut and remove the silver T bolt from the slot in the bracket so I can position the bracket around the rear bar. With the bracket in place, I can reinsert the silver T bolt into the slot of the bracket and tighten down the black wing nut to secure it. I'll move back up to the front and tighten down the black wing nut to secure the front part of the bike rack to the front crossbar.

Now there are three settings in which you can set the front bracket to fit the thickness of the front cross bar. I found it is best to set it to the second slot. With the bracket around the front bar we'll insert the silver T bolt into the hole of the bracket and tighten down the black wing nut. Starting at the front, we'll need to take the rubber coated U bolts that are on the under side of the front bar out to the pre-drilled holes at the head of the bike rack. We'll then take our cylinder nuts to thread down onto the U bolts. We'll keep those loose so that we can make adjustments at the rear. We'll move to the rear of the bike rack, remove one of the wing nuts from the black bolts so that we can position the rubber coated black plate around the underside of the rear bar. We'll insert the bolt into the hole of the black plate and re-install our wing nut. Once those are tight, we'll move back up to the front and use the included tightening tool to tighten down the cylinder nuts. Once everything is all tightened down and secured, we're ready to load up a bike. With the skewer loosened up, we'll move to the rear and undo the cam buckle strap.
