This Curt trailer hitch receiver gives you a 2" x 2" Class III opening rated for 4,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 400 lbs tongue weight. When used with weight distribution, those ratings go up to 5,000 lbs GTW and 500 lbs TW. It’s strong enough for small campers, boats, or cargo trailers, and just as handy for bike racks or cargo carriers when you’re not towing. You get everyday hauling capability without needing a heavy-duty setup.
The hitch body is precision, robotically welded for consistent strength and a tight fit. The steel is finished with a gloss black powder coat over a protective base layer for superior rust resistance. That finish holds up against road salt, rain, and grime while keeping a clean appearance under the bumper. The round-tube design adds strength and gives it a smooth, finished look that blends well with the vehicle’s lines.
You don’t have to weld or modify anything to mount this hitch. It bolts directly to the frame using existing holes, and everything you need comes in the box—hardware and instructions included. Most installs can be done right in the driveway with basic tools, no lift required. Once it’s on, the receiver sits in an ideal position for easy loading and unloading of hitch-mounted gear or trailers.
