Question:
We have a Valley Industries V-5 hitch for a 99 Ford F-250 Super Duty. The side mounting brackets always rust out before the rest of the hitch. Is it possible to get just the side brackets for that hitch?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Valley went out of business a few years ago, so their products are no longer available.
I'd recommend the B&W Class V hitch, part # BWHDRH25230. The hitch is a three piece design, with the side plates and center section being individual pieces. The hitch is covered by a limited lifetime warranty excludes the finish of the hitch, but if one of the side plates rusted through to the point where the hitch was unusable, it would be considered a warranty issue. The hitch has a 16,000 lb towing, 1600 lb tongue weight capacity.
