Will the ETBC7work with an older Tekonsha 2030 Mark 12 in a 2014 Ford Escape 2.0 w/trailer package?

I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha and he said your Tekonsha 2030 Mark 12 will work with the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7, since the wiring is the same as the current models.
The functions for each wire are as follows: black wire carries 12V power from the vehicle to the brake controller (via a circuit breaker); red wire carries brake light signal to the brake controller; white wire is ground; blue wire carries the controller output signal for the trailer brakes.
