Hey Gilbert, thanks for reaching out. The U-bolt that comes with the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer # e99007 is not sold as a separate item. If yours broke, the only option will be a whole new stabilizer.

Just out of curiosity, what happened to the U-bolt that caused it to break. I've never heard of that happening before.

I had the same problem and had to buy a new one. The threads somehow got damaged and I used too much force to get it off that the ubolt broke. I bought another because it works so well, I too have a habit of overtightening, that's probably what happened to me too.

@MarkG What are you using to tighten this down with? I use a 3/8” ratchet and hand crank it down pretty hard but even with a 12” long handle ratchet I would have to use a pipe for extra leverage to even come close to busting the bolt and tightening it down like that would never be needed for this device to work just fine.

I was using just a standard wrench, but this happened while unscrewing. The nut was about halfway off and then just got stuck and wouldn't budge .

Im just replying to an email that was alerting me to a product I purchased that another customer had a question about…. This feature is VERY nice! I’m sorry I cant help after reading your inquiry. I would recommend this item to anyone who uses a cargo carrier to eliminate the play and rattling of the entire unit while traveling. Sorry to hear your bolt snapped??. I will concur with the other reply as I do not know how it busted either. I hand tighten the bolt with a 3/8” socket driver and I crank it down pretty hard. My bolt has bent slightly to conform to the angle that it rests at after I have fully tightened both bolts as evenly as possible. I carry a SnowDog ice machine that weighs about 350lbs on my carrier using this stabilizer and it has never come close to failing even during winter in very rough conditions. My advice would be to just buy another one????, I would!!
