Updated 11/14/2025 | Published 10/16/2025

Question:

I have a 2025 jeep wrangler Rubicon. It will be towed with a Ford f-53 7.4 engine which has a seperate lighting system. The jeep does not have incandescent tail lights. It has a seperate lighting system. It has park sensor system. Do I need all of these - rm47zr, rm-15267, rm-88400, and rm732? Thank you

Hello Michael, thanks for reaching out. I see you placed an order with us last week for the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit # RM63MR. This is what you will need for the flat tow wiring for your 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with the park sensor system. The # RM74ZR and the # RM-15267 would not be needed.

The Brake Lite Relay # RM-88400 or the Converter # RM-732 would also not be needed for this.

I will go ahead and provide a full parts list of your Jeep so you can reference this with what you already have:

- Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM35GR

- etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates - RV Mount - 6,000 lbs # e74ZR

- Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights - 7-Way to 6-Way Adapter Cord # RM63MR

- Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25

- Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Braking System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes - Wireless Monitor - Proportional # DM86VR

Hey Michael, how did things go with the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit on your Jeep Wrangler Rubicon? Did it work smoothly with the park sensor system when towing behind your Ford F-53? Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar flat tow setup.
