Will TorkLift GlowStep Uprising Steps Provide Better Door Clearance Than MORryde StepAbove Steps?

Question:
I have a Grand Design 2670MK and am considering replacing the steps with the Torklift Revolution Uprising. My current steps, even when adjusted properly, interfere with the door requiring it to be slammed. How does the Torklift’s threshold compare height-wise to the Morryde?

The TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Uprising # TLA9005 is a great option to consider for the door interference you're having with your MORryde StepAbove steps. The two systems mount differently, and there is actually some real-world feedback that closely matches your situation.
TorkLift has published feedback from an owner who replaced their MORryde StepAbove steps specifically because they were interfering with both the screen door and exterior door. After switching to the Uprising, they reported that it solved the problems they were having. That's one owner's experience rather than a guarantee for every trailer, but it's a good example of why the Uprising may be a better solution when door interference is the reason for replacing the MORryde steps.
MORryde requires 3/8" of clearance between the threshold and the bottom of the entry and screen doors for its hinge plate. The TorkLift Uprising uses a different mounting design, but it also requires at least 3/8" of doorsill plate clearance. I wasn't able to verify a published measurement showing exactly how the installed height of the TorkLift hardware compares to the MORryde hinge plate, so I don't want to give you a height difference that isn't documented.
With the real world information I found, I would say that the Torklift steps will not cause the same issue.

We have a 2024 GD 28RL and didn't have any door closing issues with the TorkLift steps after installing them. We had the same MORryde steps and it seemed to be a like-for-like swap in regard to the threshold height although it's been awhile since we changed it and I might have simply forgotten if there was one. We didn't have any issues with the door closing with the MORryde and I can't quite figure out why yours would. Our 28RL is a 5th wheel but I don't know why that would make a difference.

I installed these steps on my Gulf Stream 5th wheel and it does not interfere with my door at all

I installed these on our G.D. 303RLS, They are great. They do not interfere with the entry door. However, to get them installed I had to cut away a small part of the outboard portion of our lower step (the ones up to the bedroom of our 5th wheel). Because those steps extended slightly into the entryway door area.

I installed these steps on my GD Reflection 337. In my case at least, these steps do not interfere with the door at all. The OEM steps had a wing that made contact with the door frame to keep them from falling in. These Torklift steps do not make contact with the sides of the doorframe. The threshold bracket that supports the steps when folded is completely inside the trailer.
