Need to replace a worn Lippert ABS brake assembly and get back on the road? This self-adjusting brake assembly helps maintain proper brake adjustment over time for more consistent braking performance on compatible 4.4K trailer axles.
This assembly is made for compatible Lippert ABS braking systems, with space for the ABS sensor (sold separately - LC48FC) and the wiring used by that setup.
Manual brake adjustments are one of those trailer jobs most owners would rather not repeat. This self-adjusting design maintains proper brake adjustment as components wear, which keeps your braking performance more consistent and reduces the need to crawl back under the trailer for manual brake adjustments.
Brake fit matters before the old assembly comes off. This ABS assembly is for the left hand, or driver's side, and matches 10" diameter x 2-1/4" wide brakes with a 4 bolt mounting flange pattern on 4,400 lbs axles. Mounting bolts and hardware are sold separately (BRKH10A), so your install plan needs to account for those before the trailer's apart.
If you're replacing both brake assemblies at the same time, you don't have to hunt for each side separately. We offer a kit with both the right-hand and left-hand assemblies (LC79MP), which keeps the paired brake setup easier to order.

Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Lippert Electric Trailer ABS Brake Assembly with Self-Adjusting, and it's a 10-inch left-hand, or driver's side. So, folks, this trailer brake assembly will help provide braking performance, and it's compatible with the Lippert ABS heavy-duty trailer axle. So it integrates with that existing Lippert ABS, or anti-lock brake sensor, and that system. Again, it's a self-adjusting design. That's what this cable here is doing, along with the star wheel and everything up here.
It's gonna self-adjust on the fly. So that's gonna give you better efficiency and less wear and tear on the braking system and less wear and tear on your suspension system, as well. You're gonna get the four nuts. You're gonna get the two electrical connectors. And of course, this is your standard four-bolt system here.
And these nuts, as you know, go right over there for that mounting flange for the brake system. This is a 2 1/4-inch by 10-inch assembly. Again, this is the driver's side or left-hand side assembly. We do carry the right-hand side sold separately, item number LC86RP. Again, if you need your right-hand assembly, as well, that is sold separately.
And this works with a axle rating of 4400 pounds. Folks, that's going to wrap up our quick look together. I'm Steven. As always, stay safe while you're towing.
Ratings & Reviews
They didn't fit my axle. Customer support was extremely helpful with a return. I needed the brake for the post 2009.
The brakes that I ordered arrived on time. And it was the correct product as advertised. If you’re needing ABS drilled brakes for a fifth wheel RV, I highly recommend Etrailer.
Perfect fit for my Lippert 7k axles. The passenger side was worse than the driver's side. Wires were cut on both on passenger side. One of the passenger side completely fell apart when I removed the drum wit one lone spring still hanging on. While the driver's side only needed shoes, I decided to order new for that side also. That gave me self adjusting housings all around. Very pleased!!
