Question:
Does the Braking Monitor/Alarm Kit use the blue wire for the factory brake controller and does the brake controller need to be disconnected to keep it from interfering with the signal light and speaker?

The good news is you don't need to disconnect your factory brake controller. The Roadmaster InvisiBrake # RM-8700 does not use the vehicle's blue trailer brake controller wire, so the two systems operate independently.
The InvisiBrake's monitor system connects to the cold side of the brake light switch in the towed vehicle. When the InvisiBrake applies the brakes, the brake light switch sends a signal to the monitor LED and alarm in the motorhome.
The monitor wire runs between the towed vehicle and the motorhome, either through the included monitor wire or an unused terminal in your existing electrical connector and the LED/audio monitor is grounded to the motorhome chassis.
Since this is a separate circuit from the electric trailer brake controller, the two systems do not interfere with each other.
Are you installing the InvisiBrake on a new flat-tow setup, or are you replacing an existing supplemental braking system?
