Does Roadmaster InvisiBrake Require Trailer Brake Controller to Install

Question:
Hi there, looking to troubleshoot a couple issues with you. I am attempting to tow my 2007 Honda CRV behind my motorhome. I installed the appropriate eTrailer preferred kit per eTrailer for the vehicle, including all lite relays, fuse bypasses, wiring harnesses, etc. All of these items are working perfectly and I have all functions working relating to these items. I am attempting to use the Invisibrake System in the CRV with a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 in the motorhome. I have two questions about these items: 1 With regards to the Tekonsha brake controller, the brake controller will operate the brakes in the towed vehicle, however, the brake controller only shows connected when the brake pedal is depressed. Is this normal operation, or indicative of a flaw in the installation? The Prodigy DOES operate the Invisibrake when the RV brake pedal is pressed. 2 The Invisibrake system includes a signal cable which runs from the cold side of the brake switch in the towed vehicle, all the way to the dashboard of the motorhome. The installation instructions state that the signal cables on either end can be wired into the 6 and 7 pin connectors if there is an available slot, to avoid having to run the link cable between RV and towed vehicle while towing. In the 6 pin connector, we wired the signal cable into the from inside top right 2 oclock position. On the 7 pin connector ETBC7 kit through eTrailer we wired the signal cable into the available yellow wire from the ETBC7. This wire then runs up to the dash where it is properly wired into the indicator light and alarm speaker from the Invisibrake kit. I am not receiving visual or audio feedback from this monitor cable while the Invisibrake is active. Have I wired this incorrectly? If so, I no longer have the necessary wire ends to wire in a way that utilizes the link wire between RV and towed vehicle. Looking forward to your assistance, I have been very impressed by eTrailers customer experience so far! Thanks,

The problem you are experiencing is that the Invisibrake part # RM-8700 was not designed to be used with a trailer brake controller like your P2 part # 90885. The Invisibrake is designed to work by itself without a brake controller so removing that from the equation will be what you'd need to do.
I attached a link to an install video for the Invisibrake on a similar CR-V for you to use as a guide as well.
