Question:

I have a 2013 ford E250 van. I have factory wiring for trailer on it. The plugs look right , but it is not listed for a 2013.

I checked with Tow Ready about 7-Way connector # 118261 and it is not a confirmed fit for the 2013 Ford E-250 van. Since there are no other options and since you have some factory wiring already, I recommend using 4 and 7-Way connector # HM40975 with harness # PK11998.

You will need to test the wiring on the vehicle end with a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 to determine the functions. Then you can install the harness accordingly:

Red - Left Turn and Stop
White - Ground
Blue - Electric Brakes
Green - Right Turn and Stop
Black - Battery
Brown - Running Lamps
Yellow - Backup Lamps

Say you have power at the trailer by controller when you plugged it in, but you don’t know where the other end of that blue wire is would you?

@ShawnV Not quite sure what you are asking here, Shawn. Are you trying to locate the brake control connection in the cab of your vehicle? I would need to know what vehicle you have and whether or not it has the factory tow package, and I may be able to point you in the right direction. If you need something else please elaborate and give me more info and I am happy to look into it. The article in the link below will show you how to install and troubleshoot a 7-way.

@JesseM listen, you guys sell the adapter and celebrate controller. There is a plug that plugged into the coin holder. That is the brake controller integrated plug. There is power to that however, the end of the blue wire is terminated in a block junction right in front of the steering wheel. thanks for the help Maybe you guys can update your site so other people don’t struggle so much
