Parts Needed to Replace Coleman-Mach AC With Furrion Chill Cube on 2017 Starcraft Autumn Ridge

Updated 07/27/2026 | Published 07/21/2026

Question:

My current trailer, a 2017 Starcaft Autumn Ridge, has a Coleman-Mach 15k ducted air conditioner connected to the Airxcel 8830-3862 digital thermostat. I want to install the new Furrion chill cube 18k ducted air conditioner. But after watching quite a few YouTube videos it seems that after the installation the propane furnace will no longer work. Is there an easy solution to this problem? Can you tell me exactly what parts I need to order for installation? What is the warranty on the Furrion Chill Cube?

Hey Lee! Yes, there is an easy solution to this problem. Your Airxcel thermostat is capable of running the furnace on its own. All you need to do is leave that in place to operate the furnace, and then run the Chill Cube off of the remote and air distribution box controls. Since you have a ducted system you need one of the following:

-Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box - Ducted - 18,000 Btu - Black # FR39TD

-Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box - Ducted - 18,000 Btu - White # FR99TD

Or for the models with the heat pump:

-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Heat Pump - Ducted - 18K Btu - White - R32 # FR67TQ

-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Heat Pump - Ducted - 18K Btu - Black - R32 # FR97TQ

Both of these are complete systems with the rooftop unit, ADB, and remote. You won't need any additional parts to complete the installation. The Chill Cube comes with a 2-year limited warranty.

Where are you headed next with your Starcraft once you get the AC replaced?

@Lee we're waiting for the standard and heat pump version right now. These things are hard to keep around during a hot summer. If you want a good alternative, the Mach-C Everest uses the same technology, but uses a wall thermostat instead. However, it doesn't have an option for a heat pump right now. This would be compatible with your furnace as well. -Mach-C Everest Variable Speed RV AC System - 18K Btu - Ducted/Non-Ducted - R32 - White # CM35MR -Mach-C Everest Variable Speed RV AC System - 18K Btu - Ducted/Non-Ducted - R32 - Black # CM55MR

@Lee sounds good. Looks like early September, but I would check back because sometimes Lippert comes up with inventory we aren't expecting and sends it out.
