Question:
I want to pull my 2005 Jeep Liberty behind my motorhome. How can I hook up the wiring so the Jeep lights will work from the motorhome. Jeep has separate turn/brake lights. Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
When you are flat-towing your 2005 Jeep Liberty behind your RV, the wiring kit I recommend is the etrailer Tow Bar Wiring, part # 154-792-118158. This connects the brake and tail lights, as well as the turn signals from your RV to the Liberty's lighting system. The kit includes everything needed to complete the installation. I have attached a drawing that shows how this wiring kit is installed you can check out.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
If you do not have all the items needed for flat-towing your Liberty, let me know and I can make some recommendations for you. I have attached a couple of helpful articles that explains what is needed for flat-towing.
