Does this unit have any provision to help prevent evaporator freeze-up?

Hi G; there isn't a specific anti-freeze mode or freeze prevention setting built into the Chill Cube. Instead, preventing evaporator freeze-up is one of the advantages of its variable-speed inverter design.
Since the compressor can continuously adjust its output to match the cooling demand, it's much less likely to cool the evaporator enough for ice to form during normal operation. Because of that, I wouldn't expect freezing to be an issue under normal operating conditions.
The # LC22BX you were looking at is just the AC unit. For a replacement, you will need a complete system. You can choose from the following based on ducted/ductless and color:

Hi. Thanks to Robin H for the reply. I have a 26ft Wildwood XLite. It had a old Coleman Mach 13.5K AC, and when that unit quit, I replaced it with a Fogatti Instacool 18K BTU unit. It is fast and it is cold. Unfortunately, I have had a evaporator Freeze-up. I asked the Fogatti folks about the freeze-up (they are very good at answering questions) and they had a very similar (almost exact) same answer as Robin H's explanation above. Unfortunately, it has happened twice now. Even though my old Coleman Mach was less cold, took longer to cool it did have a sensor in the evaporator coil that basically shut down the compressor, if a freeze up occurred. I am testing different "scenario's" to try and prevent it. Since the AC is what it is, and how its designed, I will have to figure out how to live with it.
