Does Furrion Chill Cube RV AC Unit Have Ability to Control Furnaces

Question:
can you connect this to a furnace? i have a 2007 jayco recon, the furnace and a/c is connected to the thermostat on the wall

Hey Devon, this is a great question but the thermostat of the Furrion Chill Cube RV AC units like the part # FR59TD just doesn't like working with furnaces although it was intended to. So for the time being we recommend people leaving their old thermostat in their RV and use it for just the furnace. Allegedly they are working on a firmware update for the thermostat to allow it to work with furnaces but at this time it's still not out yet.

Devon, I have replaced two old duo therm units with Furrion Chill switching from ducted to non ducted. I bought a simple battery powered thermostat to run my furnace (two wires to connect). So I have three separate systems now. Two ACs and a furnace. I like this setup and the Chills work great and are quiet.

I purchased a Furrion Chill Cube recently. I can’t say that I am impressed. Not really sure the Dry feature works. Feel like it just make an odd oscillating drone noise. The swing feature of the vent has to be adjusted every time the unit is on. It only blows to the front of the rv otherwise. The remote has a followed me feature but it has to be in direct line of sight or it doesn’t work and there is no feedback that it will communicate. It never shuts off. The blower is constantly running and it seems more annoying at the lower blower settings. It does cool and cools well. That I can’t argue. If I were you, I would look at the Coleman Mach Everest that just came out. Hindsight, I would have waited.
