Can Furrion Chill Cube Thermostat Control Furnace As Well As AC?

Updated 06/06/2025 | Published 06/04/2025

Question:

I have a Coleman Mach A/C unit, ducted, that I would like to replace with the 18000 Furion A/C. The thermostat runs the A/C and Furnace. Will I still have to keep the old thermostat for the heater? Or is there an 18000 Furion thromstat to do both heating and colling.

Hello James, thanks for reaching out. Yes, there is an option for the 18K BTU Chill Cube unit that comes with a thermostat that controls both the furnace and the AC. What you will need is the following:

- Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w Air Distribution Box, Thermostat - Ducted - 18,000 Btu - White # FR69TD

This comes with everything you need to fully replace/upgrade you AC system. You get the 18K rooftop unit, distribution box, wall thermostat, and even a remote controller. The Chill Cube units are the latest and greatest as far as RV AC goes. They have a variable speed compressor and they do multi-stage startup. So you don't get those big amp spikes on startup. It also cools much more effectively/efficiently than other rooftop ACs.

The video I linked below shows a review and installation of the Chill Cube.

What kind of RV do you have? Just curious. Reply on this page.

I have a 2019 Winnebago Minnie Winnie Class C MH, 31 foot. I want to up grade the A/C unit because the one I have now freezes up at the most inopportune time. I will need the complete unit, and I am rady to purchase. Thanks James

@JamesK Nice! The # FR69TD will work great for you then. I think you will be very happy with the Chill Cube system.
