Replacement Ductless AC Unit With ADB Controls for 1998 Fleetwood Bounder

Published 05/26/2026

Question:

I have a 1998 33 Fleetwood motorhome with two Coleman duct AC units. What is available with a built in thermostat? I have the old Intellitic control and want a AC unit with the thermostat at the unit. I am not interested in a ducted unit.

Hey W.F., welcome back! The Advent Air RV AC # ADV23SR you were looking at is a non-ducted setup with the controls on the air distribution box (ADB). It does not come with or require a wall thermostat. The controls are built into the ADB itself using manual control knobs. We also have a 15,000 Btu version available # ADV32SR in the same style.

If you would like the updated version, the # ADV77QR (13.5k) and # ADV39QR (15.5k) are available as well. These feature an updated ADB design with buttons instead of the old control knobs. They moved the higher capacity version up from 15k to 15.5k so you get a little more cooling power as well. The newer models don't come with the start capacitor, so if you want to add one it is available separately # ACMSCKIT.

If you have any other questions, just let me know in the comments below and I'd be happy to help.
