Will Advent AC Unit ADV23SR Replace Dometic Unit On 2017 Coachmen Freedom Express 192RBS

Question:

I have a 2017 Coachmen Freedom Express 192RBS with a Dometic 13,500 BTU AC unit on it. With this Advent be a good replacement?

Hey Douglas, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ADV23SR is a great choice for replacing your old Dometic unit. As long as your current unit uses manual controls on the ceiling distribution box and not a wall thermostat, it will be a pretty straightforward swap out. You'll be replacing the rooftop unit and distribution box but those all use the same standard roof opening so you won't be doing any modifications or anything like that. It'll be a clean replacement and a nice upgrade from an older unit.

Will you be doing installation yourself? Or taking it to a shop?

Plan is to do it myself with help from a friend to get it on top of the trailer and dropped down into the opening.

@DouglasC Nice! Yea getting it on the roof can be the hardest part. Once you do that it'll be a fairly straightforward install. Let me know how it goes!
