Availability Of Wiring Harness For 2023 BMW X5

Question:
I purchased a Oris hitch back in February. You showed a trailer wiring kit that attached to the wiring without cutting. It was @ $200. I don’t see it listed any longer. I have a 2023 BMW X5.

Hey Clifford, thanks for reaching out. I think the wiring harness you are referring to is the Tekonsha ZCI kit which has unfortunately been discontinued. Tekonsha's parent company went belly-up and we couldn't get product from them anymore.
That said, we do offer a wiring harness for the 2023 BMW X5, but it does require using quick-splice connectors to tie into the vehicles taillight and brake light circuits. Since there aren't any no-splice options, this will be the only way to add trailer wiring to your X5. The quick-splice connectors are safe to use on a BMW and they won't trigger any faults or anything if installed correctly. Here is the harness I recommend:
