It looks like the S8SL Trailer Coupling Preparation is the factory wiring that allows you to connect an OEM wiring harness at the rear. I don't have any information on the exact location to check and see if you have this on your 2024 BMW X7. I recommend contacting a dealer or using a VIN decoder to see if it shows up as one of the features on your vehicle.

If you want to install an aftermarket hitch and wiring there are two options. The first is the Stealth Hitches # SH66VR along with the Towing Kit w/ Ball Mount and Trailer Wiring # 391CONVD5. This wiring kit will give you a 7-way and comes with a 7-way to 4-way adapter.

The second option is the Oris Trailer Hitch with Detachable Hitch Receiver # TS86VR. Then for wiring you will need the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT. This wiring kit is a 4-way which will power your trailer's signal lights. If you want to add a 7-way you can upgrade the 4-way using the # ETBC7.
