IS THERE A TRICK TO REMOVING THE KEY ONCE THE RECIEVER IS DETACHED?

Hey Robert.

There isn't a trick when removing the detachable hitch receiver. It's not super easy and there will be some resistance. I linked a video where someone demonstrates how to remove it. Its at the 2 minute mark.

Is the knob not twisting at all or does it twist some but not enough to get the hitch off?

The hitch comes off easy enough, my question was, "Does the key come out once the hitch is removed?" Cause I can't get the key out.

@Robert On the knob there is a picture of pad lock closed and another one with it open. If the part of the knob with the unlocked picture is lined up with the white dot the key will not come out. You would need to turn it till the locked picture is line up with the white dot. That means it's locked and the key will come out. If they key still wont come out, you can reply to the email with a picture and I can get in contact with the manufacture.
