How Does Lippert Trailer Jack # LC285318 Ground
Updated 05/20/2026 | Published 05/16/2026 >
Question:
I have a 2022 Forest River Mini-Lite with an FIC-ETJ3500 jack that doesnt raise. It has 2 wires, a red power and a white ground. Is the LC285318 a suitable replacement, and how is it grounded?

Hey James, yes the Lippert electric jack part # LC285318 would be a great option to replace what you have now. It grounds through it's mounting hardware so you would just need to run a power wire to it's red wire and you'd be set!

Ditto the above. You can also check your battery connection to see that it might have already been wired that way. Mine has.

Jameson has it right. It grounds through the mounting bolts. I scraped the paint from under the bolts to assure a good ground. Works great.
