Updated 05/11/2026 | Published 05/09/2026

Question:

Can I use the ducted Chill Cube with heat pump to upgrade from Dometic Freshjet 5s in a dual zone system? Provided that I upgrade the thermostat too. Can I integrate the furnace with the thermostat? 2011 Forest River Berkshire 390qs

Hey John, yes you can replace the Dometic Fershjet that you have now with a Furrion Chill Cube with heat pump but you would need the part # FR67TQ which comes with the air box and needed thermostat. The furnace you have now will also work with the included thermostat of this kit as well.

Thank you for the quick response. Is the included thermostat able to be used as a dual zone thermostat, or do I need two? Additionally, can the Microtouch Easy Air thermostat be used? And finally, is there any chance that the Freshjet 5 wiring gauge is not compatible with the Chill Cube? Cheers! John J. Langan

@JohnL right now they are all only setup to be used as single zone. Hopefully Furrion eventually comes out with a dual zone but right now it would have to be two single zone setups.
