Can Furrion Chill Cube Thermostat Be Used To Control Furnace?

Updated 11/24/2025 | Published 03/10/2025

Question:

I have a 2003 Bounder 35R with dual Coleman Mach ducted system and annoying analog slider Intellitec controller. It looks like my options are the Furion Chill HE multizone FR87FJ or Chill Cube FR69TD/FR99TD the 69 says thermostat but the pictures are the same. I am sure the multizone system will also control my propane furnace but would prefer the higher btu Cube option. I have seen videos mentioning furnace control is coming for the Chill Cube, is that true? Which one would I need or one of each? I am fine with thermostat in the remotes but need a way to control the furnace when it is cold.

Hello Steve, thanks for reaching out. The Furrion Chill Cube is definitely what I recommend going with. This is the newest model of AC available. It has a higher BTU rating, and lower power draw than any other AC unit on the market. The # FR69TD is what I recommend.

As of right now, the thermostat that controls the furnace is not available quite yet. We are hoping to have them soon though, like sometime in April. You can install the AC unit now, then add the furnace compatible thermostat separately when it comes out.

Hey Steve, did you end up going with the Furrion Chill Cube for your Bounder’s dual system? I’m interested to hear if you’ve been able to add the furnace-compatible thermostat yet. Your update could make it easier for others looking to upgrade their setup.
