Looking for Inverter for 2025 Keystone Cougar Half-Ton 26RBS

Question:
I have a 2025 Keystone Cougar Half-Ton 26RBS travel trailer. It has been fitted with 2 AC units and is configured for 50A. It has the solar protect system which means it has a 200 watt Solar Panel and solar charger. It did not come with an inverter, but boasts inverter prepped. From what I’ve read, that means a loop that I cut and tie into an inverter. Do I need the 50amp go power even though I’m not planning to use the ac with the inverter. I don’t believe the microwave outlet is on the same line as the inverter, but not 100 sure. I figured the inverter would be used to power fans and tv and other devices as well as fridge which may be 12V not sure. I assume I need an inverter with built in transfer. The charge from converter should be fine as it is built to auto sense lifepo4 batteries which I plan to install. My main question: is the 30amp ok or do I need the 50 amp to match my rig. Do I need the one with built in transfer switch? Any other advice most welcomed. Rick

Hey Rick, when picking out an inverter it really comes down to know what your wattage requirements are and going with one that covers that. So the Go Power ASW part # GP44XR is rated for up to 3,000 watts and has a built in 30 amp transfer switch. Since you have a 50 amp power setup you would need a transfer switch that matches that to work properly.
Is there anyway you could get me about how much wattage or amperage you'd be using?

Thank you for the quick reply. My wattage needs are TV and coffee pot as well as two oscillating house fans. Well under the 3000 watt the inverter provides. We had a similar usage with an older RV that had a 2000 watt inverter but that camper was a 30 AMP camper. My main question then would be what would the 50amp inverter do that the 30amp inverter couldn’t do if I do not plan to run any 50amp while on battery. Does it assist better with the automatic transfer from shore power to battery power and vice versa? Or does it matter in my situation?
