Question:
Looking to upgrade my Inverter in my Lance Trailer and am looking at the Victron VN63VR and GoPower GP44XR. Eventually I would like to run my AirConditioner 15k btu once i get the batteries and solar charger/panels in place. i do have a soft start. That said, which inverter would provide the ability to run the air conditioner most efficiently and also not generate a lot of noise from fans etc?

Welcome back Scott! The Victron MultiPlus Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger item # VN63VR has a 94% efficiency rating over the Go Power ASW Series Advanced Sine Wave Inverter item # GP44XR. The Victron item # VN63VR is also going to be noticeably quieter under heavy loads like running your AC. The Go Power item # GP44XR produces an audible hum in addition to the fan noise when under heavy loads.
If your main concerns are efficiency and noise, I highly recommend the Victron MultiPlus Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger item # VN63VR. It also has a higher 50 amp transfer switch over the Go Powers 30 amp. Even with the soft start I would recommend the higher amps.

In regards to the battery bank, I am upgrading from 200ah to 640ah end of month along with inverter, solar panels and controller. Currently at 600w on the panels and moving to 1000w. I hope to add more panels and battery later in the year once the core pieces are in place. Thanks for the feedback on the inverters. Looks like I will be moving forward with the Victron!
