This was the easiest baseplate I have ever installed, and this was the third vehicle I have put one on. Only one hole has to be drilled in each frame member and the rest are bolts. This works great and it hides away well so that nothing is sticking out when you’re not using it.

Typical excellent Roadmaster quality. I installed these myself in something less than two hours. These are very heavy duty and give me confidence that my 2016 F150 will stay attached to my motorhome using the Roadmaster Sterling towbar.

I purchased the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit w/ Removable Arms, The Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar, Quick Disconnect Crossbar, Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, and Roadmaster Guardian Rock Guard in order to tow my 2020 Ford Raptor behind my Class A. I had to take my round chainsaw file to the mounting plates that have nuts welded in place because there was little pieces of metal that had splattered in the threads of the nuts and I couldn’t get the bolts to thread in properly, it took me about 30 minutes to file them down but I was able to do it, so that’s why 3 stars no 5
Watched the videos of the install.. Uber easy. Was able to do by myself in about an hour and fifteen minutes. I recommend running the bolts through all the tab nuts before trying to assemble (clean the paint out of threads) Otherwise easy peasy. Spoke to customer service pre-sale to make sure I had everything. Rep was very understanding and found the listings for the parts I needed and put them all in a cart for me. Will continue to shop etrailer FIRST as install videos and customer support are in a league of their own and miles above everyone else.
