Will the Space Dock 2" Receiver Adapter Work w/a Smooth Finish Palomino Landing Pad Bumper?

The Palomino HS-2902 Max has a hole on either side of the bumper but its note made of Diamondplate steel like the ones always pictured. Will it work with the stock bumper?

It sure will Jim but it will take some modification! The Space Dock 2" Receiver Adapter for Torklift Palomino Landing Pad Bumper item # TLA7900 requires a genuine Palomino Landing Pad bumper. The shaft may need to be shortened to seat properly.

The Torklift Palomino Landing Pad Bumper item # TLA7900 is designed specifically for the 16x21 TorkLift Lock and Load SideKick Cargo Tray item # TLA7901.

It will but takes some diy fabrication. I have a 2901 with probably the same bumper. I didn’t realize, until it arrived, that Palomino had 2 different bumpers. I chose to keep the mount and customize. It works great. All the fab, shortening shaft, was to mount.

@JimD I had to cut shaft off because it was longer than depth of bumper. Used a grinder with cut off disc to do that. I also made my own basket to fit my Honda generator . To be honest it will take a little fabrication either by you or someone else but it was the best option to mount a generator on bumper I found.

Still yet to purchase the generator. Will it securely fit? How much do I have to cut off the shaft? Any other changes?

@JimD I have the same bumper Jim. I didn’t cut the space doc shaft,but cut a 2” hole in the bottom of the bumper compartment. The shaft needs to be thru the bottom to help secure the space doc with weight. My plan is to add a 2” pipe sleeve to the bottom of the bumper compartment. It is required to handle any kind of weight especially a generator. You can not rely on the top sheet metal only.
