This SuperTruss hitch extender is specially designed to work with your SuperHitch trailer hitch (sold separately). Like most products from TorkLift, the primary purpose of this extender is to help create a towing setup that fits perfectly with your truck bed camper system. Not only will you be able to extend your trailer hitch receiver out far enough to clear the overhang of your camper, but you will also maintain a high enough weight capacity so that you can tow your trailer.
Most hitch extensions dramatically reduce the towing capacity of your hitch setup, making it difficult to tow a loaded trailer over a certain weight. The SuperTruss, though, creates such a sturdy connection with your SuperHitch trailer hitch that you can still maintain a high weight capacity. To get the highest capacity possible, use a standard weight distribution system with the TorkLift towing setup.
The SuperTruss uses both of the receivers on your TorkLift SuperHitch to ensure a sturdy, secure connection. The solid shank of the extension's top tube slides into your top receiver, and the extension's lower compression tube installs in your bottom receiver. Each tube is held in place with the hitch pins and clips that were included with your SuperHitch. The connection between the extension and your hitch is reinforced with 2 sturdy steel collars that bolt around the tubes of the SuperTruss.
To give you absolute peace of mind, lateral support chains connect to the hitch and the extension on either side of your setup. Just attach one end of each chain to the extension and secure the opposite end to your SuperHitch. Then tighten the chains with the integrated turnbuckles. These chains not only provide extra security to keep the extension in place in your hitch, but they also transfer some of the weight back from the extension to your frame-mounted hitch.
If the camper is mounted on the truck:
Measure from the face of the truck's rear bumper to the outside edge of the camper's bumper. This is the length of the extension that you need.
If the camper is not mounted on the truck:
1. Measure from the inside of the front of your truck bed to the outside face of the truck's rear bumper.
2. Measure the camper's overall floor length from the rubber bumpers at the front to the outside edge of the rear bumper.
3. Find the difference between these 2 figures by subtracting. The difference is the length of the extension that you need.

Product fit perfect. Easy to install. Very heavy duty. I’m adding an extension for a 25’ camper trailer so I can fit an ATV rack in my bed that has an 18” overhang.
Quality product that is available in the size that I need. Etrailer worked with me at their expense to get me the correct one. The customer service will keep me coming back to this company and using their products.
Received quickly but the box was showing signs that a struggle had taken place and the box lost. Upon opening the boxes I found that several pieces from the installation kit were missing, I called and an entire new installation kit was quickly shipped to me. Installation was easy and I have been very happy with the customer service.
Easy to order, shipping was fast. The product is heavy duty, and the fit and finish was better than expected. The hitch extension handles my car hauler loaded with a Jeep with no problem.

etrailer was great, good price, fast delivery, easy to follow instuctions! I am very happy with this product. I got so i can use with a bike rack on my Chevy Spark. I had to buy an adapter to go to 2 inch reciever. Bike is 2 inch, works well. It does wobble a bit, added some hitch locks and straps, that fix most of the wobbling.
I’ve had the superhitch with 24” extension mounted on my 2013 Ram 2500 for 1 year now and use it frequently to pull my 16 x 7 enclosed trailer with my motorcycle and other gear inside. The hitch and extension give me the towing capacity I need for pulling trailers behind my Lance Truck Camper. I highly recommend the SuperHitch!
I use this to haul my travel trailer with my tailgate open and my RZR in the bed of the truck. It goes together easily and is extremely solid when mounted. Much stronger than just an extension tube.

I have towed about 7,000 miles with it now and am much more confident in the strength than the simple extension I had. It works well. Etrailer has been great.
The product arrived as promised. Unlike the accompanying weight distribution hitch.
Structurally strong! Chain and turnbuckles created an extension for my RV extension bumper with storage box. Thought with chains it might need constant re-tightening but has remained tight, after initial trip of 5500mi. Of towing car dolly!
