Hello Greg, thanks for reaching out. The Curt T-Connector # C48ZV is the correct fit for your 2026 Honda Pilot Elite. Not all vehicles come with the needed fuses though, so that will definitely be something you want to check. The fuse box is easily accessible inside the engine compartment. There needs to be a 30 amp fuse in location 7, and a 20 amp fuse in location 12. I've included a screenshot from the instructions that will point you in the right direction. Hope this helps.

What kind of trailer will you be hauling with your Pilot? Any cool trips planned?

the directions show you what fuses you will need. easy to get. I don't recall which ones they are. However, the kit failed soon after install, I do not recommend. I reported my issue to etrailer and NOTHING was done to replace faulty unit.

mine has worked fine. Easy install all my wiring and connector i leave in the left side compartment where the connection for the wiring is. i just open that area and run to the trailer out the hatch from the left side through the hatch center this way the connector does not get corroded and not work. Make sure your ground wire is grounded well, Mine is run to a screw in trunk hinge area. I would check your fuse box to see if there are spares there i only needed the larger fuse as there was a spare in the fuse box for the smaller fuse.

@Mrfixit Thanks for sharing that setup, that’s a clean way to route everything and keep it protected. Good call on the grounding too, that’s one of the biggest things that can cause issues down the road. Appreciate you passing along the fuse tip as well, that’ll definitely help others out.

Used Curt T-Connector on our 2025 Pilot. It splices into wiring under the cover where the jack is stored. I am lazy and just ordered the fuses online. Your pilot likely doesn't have them not being trailer package. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LYQYDY6?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1 and a variety pack to have on hand which included the 20-amp required. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BPS9S8XV?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2 It has worked well with both a U-Haul trailer and a cargo rack I installed lights on. The lid for the jack compartment will not have a space for the wire to run through while in use. I run the wires up the back side where the lid fits a little looser. I can still latch the lid closed without binding down too hard on the wires. You could probably notch the plastic a bit, but I didn't want to cobble up the new car. I leave just enough of the pigtail hanging out to connect the trailer. The closed hatch holds the wire in place. Just don't close wire in the hatch latch mechanism. There was a white wire that needed to be connected to a ground, I ran it through behind the back seat and used a screw that was already there behind a plastic cover that pops on and off easy. You could probably do something different if you like. I don't know why they put trailer hitch receivers on vehicles but don't automatically add wiring but on the upside this system is always protected and out of the elements when not in use.

@Ken Thanks for sharing all that detail, Ken. Sounds like you found a clean way to route everything without having to cut into anything, which is always a win on a newer vehicle. Good call on keeping the wiring protected too, that’ll help it hold up long term. Appreciate you passing along the fuse info as well, that’ll definitely help others setting this up.

For what I remember for my 25 model the dues that comes with it will not fit correctly. AutoZone has the right one though. The prongs are different. So check before. No big deal to go buy them.
