Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the CURT T Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with the seven-way blade trailer connector. Now this is a custom fit part, it is designed to fit the 2023 and newer Honda Pilot vehicles. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now this part here is gonna provide this seven way blade style trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. It will include everything I have laid out here on the table.
It includes the wiring harness, seven way trailer connector, a little tube of silicone when you do your installation, has a double face pad that'll attach to this converter box. When you attach that down. Comes with a ground screw if you need to make your own ground. Comes with three different variety of fuses to go in the fuse box to make this operational. Comes with some cable ties, take up any slack in the wiring, and a nice set of instructions that'll describe how this all goes together.
Now this part'll connect quickly and easily. There's no cutting or splicing of wires. All you have to do is locate the connection point, which is behind the driver's side rear access panel. In the instructions it will show you with pictures where it's located. You basically plug in this connector right here to the factory white connector on the vehicle, ground your white wire if there's a nearby ground you can use, or as we said, it comes with a grounding screw to make your own.
And then you install these fuses into your engine compartment fuse box. It does include this box right here. This is a tail powered taillight converter. This is to ensure that your vehicle's wiring will match that of your trailer. It is a powered module.
It connects directly to the battery to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system. And this box is constructed using SMT, Surface Mount Technology for consistent, reliable performance. It's gonna maximize the trailer light yield and intensity while producing minimal heat. Does ensure superior operation in rough road conditions. The maximum amperage on this kit, the stop and turn lights, is three amps per circuit. The tail lights is six amps per circuit. But that's gonna do it for a look at this CURT T Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with the seven-way blade trailer connector.
Clean wiring and the right concept but does not mount up at all like a factory unit. You have to custom fit it. Mines is still there dangling
This harness requires a 90 degree wire end at the hitch to mount to factory mount.
The harness package came open with the wrong fuse.
Everything was good except the 30 amp fuse it to big to fit. I had to order a different fuse to complete the install. This is an issue from Curt not eTrailer. Just be aware if you are doing a self install.
7-way wiring harness was easy for my fiancé and his sons to install.
The wiring harness was easy to install and seems like good quality. Only complaints would be that I needed much longer zip ties than the kit came with, and the main 30amp fuse is the wrong (physical) size for my 2025 Honda Pilot. Neither of these are big issues since fuses are cheap and I have plenty of my own zip ties, all of the important stuff in the kit does exactly what it should.
Curt obviously does not care about the quality of their product they sell, I would recommend a different brand. E-Trailor was very good with their responsiblity in this purchase
Wrong fuses & no black silicone. Great besides that
Just what I needed.
