Hello Bayless,

Great question.

For the Roadmaster Spare Tire and Wheel # RM-200330-80 used on the Tow Dolly # RM-2050-1, the lug nuts should be torqued to 90 ft-lbs. That’s the proper spec to make sure the wheel is seated securely and safely on the hub.

After you install the wheel and torque the lug nuts to 90 ft-lbs, it’s really important to recheck them after the first 50 miles of driving. Wheels can settle slightly after initial installation. From there, Roadmaster recommends checking and re-torquing them about every 3,000 miles as part of regular maintenance.

What kind of vehicle are towing behind your rig? Any big adventures coming up this year you are looking forward to? Where are you going, what are you seeing?
