  Hello Tim, I'm always looking for a good excuse to stretch my legs, so I was happy to head out to the warehouse and grab the measurements you requested. The Roadmaster Quick-Disconnect Padlock #RM-301 has a shackle that's 1/4" thick, with a vertical clearance of 1-1/4" and a horizontal clearance of 3/4". I've attached an image for reference as well. We also have the etrailer Spare Tire Lock for 1/4" to 7/8" Thick Rims - Keyed Alike # e98892 which would work great for locking the wheel...

  Hey Nancy, I did not see that information anywhere, so I reached out to my friends at Roadmaster and this was their response: The wiggle is totally normal for our baseplate kits to prevent the rigid energy from the hitch setup from being transferred to the flat towed vehicle's frame.  The hole they mention is for a pad lock like our # RM-301 and # RM-302 part numbers so they have the option to lock those arms to the vehicle to prevent them from walking away.   Hello Tom, thanks for reaching out. To lock your Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier # RM95MR to the hitch on your motorhome you can use the Roadmaster Quick-Disconnect Padlock # RM-301 in place of the hairpin clip that comes with the carrier. Aside from that Roadmaster doesn't really have any other solution to lock the carrier, and we don't have any locks that we know of to match with the threaded portion of the anti-rattle hitch bolt you have.

To lock your Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195225 to your Class C motorhome you can use the Roadmaster Quick-Disconnect Padlock # RM-301 in place of the hairpin clip that comes with the carrier. This won't be keyed alike with the other locks that you purchased but it does give you a way to secure the carrier to your hitch receiver.   The 2 inch spacing you have between the front and rear tires is enough to use Ultra-Fab chock # UF21-001060. It will fit tire spacing of 1-1/2 to 5-1/4 inches. I have included a link to a video review for you. For a set of 2 use # UF21-001070. You can also add a lock to the chock using # RM-301.

  It is not necessary to use red Loctite like # LT37420 on the hitch bolt of the Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195225. It is optional, like you mentioned, and the intent with the Loctite is simply added tightness at the connection and security since the bolt is anti-rattle and not locking. What you can do instead is use Loctite Blue # LT37614 like you mentioned, and instead of the hairpin on the hitch bolt, use the RoadMaster Quick-Disconnect Padlock # RM-301.
