Can I Add A Winch To A 2020 Jeep Wrangler With Roadmaster Direct Connect Base Plate?

Question:

I have the Roadmaster 521453-5 Direct Connect Base Plates and would like to add a winch and base plate to that. I have a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited with the stock bumper. thank you very much for any info

Hello Michael, thanks for reaching out. Roadmaster does not offer any type of winch plate compatible with their Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-5. It is possible to add a winch with the base plate, but your best option for that would be to switch to the factory winch bumper. That would put the winch right between the base plate arms. There would be no way to mount a hitch on a front receiver since that would use the same mounting points as the base plate.

Thank you very much! I remember doing it with my 2014 Wrangler but it took forever to find the correct plate.
