Will the Firestone Air Command Standard Duty Air Compressor Run w/ the Truck Off?

Hi, I recently installed the Firestone Airide 2922 Single Path air compressor system…with the truck turned off, I connected all the wiring and the compressor turned on…is it supposed to turn on with the vehicle turned off? Instructions said connect directly to the battery.

Yes, it is. The Firestone Air Command Standard Duty Air Compressor item # F29VV is connected directly to the battery. It'll run for up to 5 mins and shut off or once your air bags reach the correct pressure setting. If it runs constantly you've got a leak somewhere.
