When you’re towing a camper or hauling a full load, you need both air springs working together. The Firestone Air Command Standard Duty Compressor uses a single-path setup that keeps equal air pressure in both springs. That means your truck stays level and stable, even when the back end’s weighed down. It’s a simple, reliable way to stop sag and improve handling when you’re carrying extra weight.
You don’t have to crawl under the truck or find an air pump to make changes. This system connects wirelessly to your smartphone or the included rechargeable remote, so you can add or release pressure from wherever you’re parked. The easy-to-use app works with both iPhone and Android and lets you view real-time pressure and save two memory presets for your favorite settings.
For occasional towing or light hauling, the standard-duty 12-volt compressor delivers dependable air support. It puts out up to 100 psi with a 9 percent duty cycle and 0.32 CFM at 100 psi. The compressor fills from 0–30 psi in about 17 seconds and 0–60 psi in 42 seconds, giving you quick response when adjusting for load changes.
The electronic control unit can be mounted almost anywhere, and the compact compressor (7-5/8" long x 2-1/8" wide x 4-7/8" tall) fits neatly in tight spaces. It’s designed to stand up to moisture, salt spray, and road chemicals, so it keeps working through harsh conditions. The kit includes the air line, wiring harness, and hardware you need for setup, plus a 17' wiring harness for flexible mounting options.
This no-tank, single-path setup keeps things straightforward—no added plumbing or complicated setups to worry about. Once installed, you can monitor and control your air springs directly from your phone or remote, with the compressor and electronics doing the hard work behind the scenes. It’s an easy way to keep your ride level and comfortable wherever you go.

Once I got the ecu code in, everything went smoothly. My frame was too wide for the component bracket. A couple threaded holes and I was back in business. Looks nice, works great.
Works great! Routing air lines into the cab and finding a place to mount the controller was a bit challenging for my 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, but the end result is very clean and useful. I should have installed this years ago when I originally put air springs onto this pickup truck. My primary use is to level the load and provide more support for my Lance camper. Adjusting the air spring pressure is much easier and quick now!
This kit pairs perfectly with the Ride-Rite bags on my 2012 F350. Installation was pretty simple. I mounted the pump in the driver side rear seat storage area and wired it to one of my Upfitter switches. There was plenty of air line and pigtail wire. I was using a bicycle pump on a shrader valve and this beats the crap out of that. I tow a trailer with 960 pound tongue weight, 2 kayaks on the tonneau cover and a long bed full of gear and this levels it out perfectly. I use this with a weight distribution hitch and still have minimal sway.
Seems to work well but after having it in the winter I would not recommend putting this on the frame rail as it tends to freeze up! I intend to take it off of the frame rail and install in the engine compartment!
I pull my boat with 25lbs,my 5th wheel with 85lbs and driving around town 5lbs all at the press of a button. The system works perfectly.
This is a must buy to go with the helper bags. Remote or phone makes it easy to control the truck. I love it. Truck handles like a dream with the bags and air.
Great little air compressor for my 2014 Ram 2500. Nice fit under the bed. Made the truck ride better when towing my fifth wheel and when empty
The installation was pretty easy and it worked just like it supposed to. The compressor pump up fast and the remote works good.
Putting this in by yourself is a bear when lying on a creeper and a 2019 Chevy Dually doesn't have a lot of options for location. Read that as 1. But it is on and all wired up and working fine. Put airbags on a previous truck years ago without a compressor, I was a poor GI. This is SO much better. Just takes a little time, think it out and plot your path for cabling and hoses to avoid the exhaust.
I gave this product one star because there wasn't a option of 0. One of the biggest mistakes I have ever made. #1. The ECM, or computer, whatever they want to call this thing that runs this system, It is just a monitor. When your air psi drops to low all it does is log a code and tell you you air system has a leak. I would think it would kick on and build the air psi up, nope, it just logs a code and shut down the system until you clear the codes. #2. You have to take off the pump stops above your axle to install the ridiculously stupid system. So I thought ok, there must be bump stops inside the air bags, and ordered it anyway. Well I was wrong. When you take the bump stops off over the axle and you come upon a huge bump as you can do traveling around the good ole USA, the air bag bottom out, so you have the full force of the huge bump you just hit coming down on you axle, not good. We hit a bump that snuck up on us in Florida over by Okeechobee Lake that was possibly the biggest bump I have ever encountered in all my travels, and I swear I though it has cracked my axle, no bump stops to protect it. As soon as I got home I took this lousy system off my truck and put something better on, a much better system.
Great compressor with the option of using the included remote or my cellphone. The two presets allow for quickly switching between normal empty bed setting and the setting for when the 5th wheel is connected.
Prompt communication, fast delivery.
Just got home and have package looks good so far and I will probably install tomorrow
Easy install. No leaks to chase down. Remote set up was straight forward. Entire setup works great!
Sales gal was great
The compressor gets extremely hot if it runs for even a short while getting the bags up to around 80 pounds. The ECM module also does not retain the last setting if you place the system on switched power. I choose switched power due to how hot the compressor got and am not willing to risk it running nonstop if there was a leak in the system. When I initially installed it there was a small leak and the compressor ran nonstop. There is supposedly a timeout but it ran nonstop until I disconnected it from the battery. I have previously owned an extreme duty system which worked incredibly well.

Thanks for reaching out Arthur! This is a very light-duty compressor with only a 9% duty cycle, so it is normal for it to get very hot if it has to run for extended periods or repeatedly build pressure. Even a small air leak can cause the compressor to run continuously while trying to maintain pressure, which can quickly overheat the unit. The nonstop running concern points either to a remaining leak in the system, the compressor struggling to keep up or the controller not shutting the compressor off correctly when pressure is not reached. We would recommend performing a full leak test on all fittings and air lines and verifying voltage and ground quality at the compressor. The ECM memory issue is likely because the module requires constant battery power to retain settings. Please let me know if this troubleshooting does not solve the issue.
