The Firestone Air Command Standard Duty Compressor uses a single-path setup that keeps equal air pressure in both springs. That means your truck stays level and stable, even when the back end’s weighed down. It’s a simple, reliable way to stop sag and improve handling when you’re carrying extra weight.
You don’t have to crawl under the truck or find an air pump to make changes. This system connects wirelessly to your smartphone or the included rechargeable remote, so you can add or release pressure from wherever you’re parked. The easy-to-use app works with both iPhone and Android and lets you view real-time pressure and save two memory presets for your favorite settings.
For occasional towing or light hauling, the standard-duty 12-volt compressor delivers dependable air support. It puts out up to 100 psi with a 9 percent duty cycle and 0.32 CFM at 100 psi. The compressor fills from 0–30 psi in about 17 seconds and 0–60 psi in 42 seconds, giving you quick response when adjusting for load changes.
The electronic control unit can be mounted almost anywhere, and the compact compressor (7-5/8" long x 2-1/8" wide x 4-7/8" tall) fits neatly in tight spaces. It’s designed to stand up to moisture, salt spray, and road chemicals, so it keeps working through harsh conditions. The kit includes the air line, wiring harness, and hardware you need for setup, plus a 17' wiring harness for flexible mounting options.

Thanks for reaching out Arthur! This is a very light-duty compressor with only a 9% duty cycle, so it is normal for it to get very hot if it has to run for extended periods or repeatedly build pressure. Even a small air leak can cause the compressor to run continuously while trying to maintain pressure, which can quickly overheat the unit. The nonstop running concern points either to a remaining leak in the system, the compressor struggling to keep up or the controller not shutting the compressor off correctly when pressure is not reached. We would recommend performing a full leak test on all fittings and air lines and verifying voltage and ground quality at the compressor. The ECM memory issue is likely because the module requires constant battery power to retain settings. Please let me know if this troubleshooting does not solve the issue.
